The Village, Williamsburg, VA, was released at the 2016 Williamsburg Collectors’ Convention. Williamsburg served as Virginias second capital until it was moved further up the James River to Richmond in 1780 at the urging of Thomas Jefferson, who was governor at the time. He felt it would be better if Virginias capital were further from the reach of British war ships during the Revolutionary War.
