The Davis County Courthouse (on the left) was built in 1878 and is reputedly one of only two of its kind in the country. The Weaver House (on the right) was built in late 1860’s by the father of General Weaver who fought in the Civil War and was twice a presidential candidate with the Greenback Party. This stately landmark now serves Bloomfield, Iowa, as a bed and breakfast.
