Christ Church was built between 1730-1734 in Lancaster County, Virginia, at the expense of Robert Carter, to replace an aged church built in 1669. Carter offered to pay for the new building so the family grave of his parents would remain in the chancel. The grave is still there today.
Part of the proceeds from this print donated to the Youth Club of Lancaster County, VA and the YMCA.
